Free Online Classes to keep you Creative

By now you’re either settling into your routine or you’re starting to go a little stir crazy right?

I think we can all agree that this has been an unsettling time and we may be in our homes a little more than we had planned earlier this year.

So we’re going to share some of our favorite places to find….

Free Craft and Creative Classes

So many great creative opportunities have popped up and there’s a ton of content that’s not usually free but you can access it for a limited time.

If you’ve found yourself with some extra time, you can use this opportunity to start a new hobby. 

If you’re like us, this is the time to check the inventory on our projects and figure out creative ways to use some of the supplies that we’ve already got on hand.

So check out these sites and see what fun you can have!

bluprint – free classes

bluprint is offering free creativity online classes and projects until 4/16/2020.

During the 14 day event, bluprint will provide free access to their full slate of amazing content and that includes more than 1300 classes and series. You’ll find hundreds of step by step project tutorials and patterns making this the perfect time to learn a new craft or hobby.

While no credit card is required to take part, you are asked to create an account to view all the content.

We might actually learn embroidery this time! It’s been on our list for a long time!

Brit + Co Free Online Classes

Brit + Co is offering their creative classes free until April 9th.

They’re making it easy to stay creative and inspired so go to  brit.co/learn and use the code SELFCARE at checkout.

You’ll find classes on painting, illustration and all kinds of fun crafts.

CreativeLive free online classes

Start learning for free today from the amazing selection of live and on-air classes from CreativeLive!

Check out the calendar to see what’s live today and the rest of the week and sign up for reminders for the classes that you’re interested in.

Lia Griffith Online Classes

If you haven’t heard of Lia Griffith you are certainly missing out on some fun!

Lia Griffith launched her site in 2013 with a tutorial to make a paper rose. Now there are thousands of templates and tutorials available on her site.

To find the free items you can head here, but be careful. She has such great tutorials that you may find yourself becoming a member to get access to even more inspiration. The community has a lot to share and the inspiration is priceless.

Skillshare Classes

Crafts are not the bread and butter of Skillshare but we have found all kinds of fun classes to try.

You’ll find that Skillshare is an online learning community with thousands of classes for creative and curious people. They offer classes on topics including illustration, design, photography, video, and more. Some of our favorite classes have been on hand lettering and photography but if you spend a few minutes searching you’ll find all kinds of treasures available.

Other Freebies Just for Fun

The Georgia Aquarium has free webcams from several of their different aquariums. Once you click through scroll down to see the other webcams you can choose from.

These are just a few of the ideas that we have to entertain you while you’re staying safe at home! Of course we’ve got lot’s of fun projects in our DIY section so be sure to check all those out and you can find oh so many ideas on Pinterest.

We won’t lie – Pinterest is tough because we start off with an idea and the research leads us a million different directions. Two hours later, lots of ideas but no real progress.
