How to Be Successful at Selling Crafts
Do some market research!
If you attend craft shows you can easily see which booths are the most popular and you can probably see which products are the most popular.
Check Etsy and Amazon Handmade to see what items are most popular.
Be sure to add your own unique flourish to your crafts too. Thats’ what makes them special.
Make sure you order supplies in bulk if you’re planning to make enough crafts to establish a booth at a craft fair. You can start off sampling a few things out of the supplies that you already own but if you’re planning to sell you’ll need some inventory.
It might also be helpful to pair up with another crafty friend for your first couple of shows. If you’re feeling unsure about what you’re selling you can split a booth and see which things are more popular.

This is an easy craft that you can vary the size and design on, and it just takes a few supplies to get started.
Etched Wooden Spoons
If you haven’t tried a wood burning tool yet then you’re in for all kinds of fun. It’s one of those tools that will have you looking for projects to make.
With a little bit of practice you’ll be able to write (or trace) lettering but before you move onto that you can easily make geometric shapes.
The only limit to this project is your imagination. You can make swirls or geometric patterns. You could even write some cute sayings on the spoons, or personalize them.
Don’t forget to decorate both sides of the spoon!

This is one of our favorite wall art projects and it’s so easy to make. You’re going to be really surprised when you see what she used as the base for this!
Macrame is a really hot style for boho decor these days and you can dye string art in many colors – you might want to try an ombre effect.

Wall Art Jewelry
Here’s a beautiful piece of art to inspire you. You can use scrap lumber from other woodworking projects or you can purchase pre-cut shapes.
This is a beautiful example made with stained wood but you could also paint the shapes and make some bright colors that might look good in a nursery or child’s room.
