How to Be Successful at Selling Crafts

Do some market research!

If you attend craft shows you can easily see which booths are the most popular and you can probably see which products are the most popular.

Check Etsy and Amazon Handmade to see what items are most popular.

Be sure to add your own unique flourish to your crafts too.  Thats’ what makes them special.

Make sure you order supplies in bulk if you’re planning to make enough crafts to establish a booth at a craft fair.  You can start off sampling a few things out of the supplies that you already own but if you’re planning to sell you’ll need some inventory.

It might also be helpful to pair up with another crafty friend for your first couple of shows.  If you’re feeling unsure about what you’re selling you can split a booth and see which things are more popular.
